However, knowing all and having good intentions is not enough. Our habits, thoughts, and feelings are not things we do consciously, meaning you don't consciously create a feeling of body shaming, isn't it?

Why can't we get rid of thinking and feeling shame?

The reason we are addicted to junk food is really because of our feelings. The stomach region is abuzz with 100 million neurons. It responds to challenges, gets you moving forward and doing. It's the center of all emotions and feelings related to fear, anxiety, worry, survival, satisfaction... Unfortunately, to cope with our unwanted feelings and emotions, we learned to push them away by eating them.

Therefore the first step is to observe and recognize what emotions trigger your food choices. See what pattern starts to emerge for you, for example: 

 You feel sad, so you eat ice cream. You feel unloved, so you eat a cake. You have had a terrible day, frustrated, or stressed,  so you order a pizza or have a glass of wine, etc...
